Italy's most wanted fugitive, Sicilian Mafia "boss of bosses" Bernardo Provenzano, has been arrested after more than four decades on the run.
A native of Corleone, Sicily, the hill town made famous by the Godfather films, Provenzano, 73, has controlled the Mafia since 1993. His arrest today was announced by the Interior Ministry and initial police reports indicate he was captured at a farmhouse near Corleone. The last photograph authorities had of him before his arrest was a police mugshot taken in 1959.
